In May 2004, River’s Edge Alliance Group opened its first business brokerage office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to assist business owners (with between $300,000 and $25 million in annual revenues) in the sale and ownership transfer of their businesses.

Led by its founding partners Scott Mashuda and Todd Torquato, the firm was quickly recognized for its open, honest, and trustworthy approach. At a time when the reputation of business brokers was strained and tattered, River’s Edge Alliance Group quickly established itself as the ethical and professional industry leader.

In January 2011, Mr. Mashuda and Mr. Torquato established a second business brokerage office in Cleveland, Ohio to expand the firm’s geographic footprint and assist even more business owners in converting their businesses into cash for retirement.

Today, with its ethical, professional and effective approach, the firm boasts an extensive track record of successful business sales and satisfied owners who have successfully exited, transitioned or acquired businesses with the assistance of River’s Edge Alliance Group.

A successful transaction will occur when a business is priced at a level supportable by the company’s current net asset base and projected sustainable cash flow.

    When you own stock in a publicly traded company an active market exists for you to sell your shares. When you hold ownership in a private company, there is not an active market readily available to sell your interest(s). The success or failure of your exit strategy depends on the success or failure of your ability to generate a market for your ownership share.
